Yes... Another.
Since the PTC will be off the road for some time for bodywork and the engine swap, and will not be, no way in hell, driven in the winter, I found this.
A 1998 BMW 318i with a 5 speed manual with approx 380K Kilometers, as well as a muffler delete. Very mechanically sound for 400 Canadian units. It’s begging to be autocrossed. has a vaccum leak so it idles like it has a lopey cam, nothing a junkyard trip can’t fix. Needs a couple new bushings and belts, but who cares, its great.

How the fuck do you find all these cars?

I think you you should drive it!

... you’d have to teach me how to drive stick on it first. How much is a clutch job on it?

should be quite easy, since its a RWD. Had a Kanata Oppo do the clutch on his a while back, was straightforward.

Congratulations, reminds me of my old beater e36 except yours is nowhere near as ratty:

you also have the option of learning with an erratic idling civic.

Depends on which one you’re more attached to.
Also, I find it hilarious how the BMW is the beater and the Civic is the good car.

civic is almost a POS as of right now, occasional misfire under low RPM load, so it sputters off the line but its fine while driving.

My friend has an E30 318is with 370k kms, and his mom has an E36 318is with 430k kms. Those M42s can seriously last. Enjoy, there are few things more fun than a cheap as balls BMW

Where are you located again? I have been looking for a Autocross/Track car for $2-3000 and these have been catching my eye.
I am in T. and I can turn a wrench, I just haven’t been looking super hard as of yet, but now I am hankering for a track car for the summer...
